Lighthouse-shaped monument erected in Sainte-Adresse in memory of General Lafobvre Desnoëttes, who died in a shipwreck in Ireland on April 22, 1892. The general's widow, concerned about the fate of sailors and their families, had this monument built at a point where it warns of misfortunes. Reverse: green 10 centime stamp, postmark 'SAINT-ADRESSE 22 AVRIL 1892', handwritten correspondence to Madame Louise Darnaud in Sartouville.
