Description

View of the Bellevue Castle in Sedan, where the surrender was signed on September 2, 1870 between Napoleon III and Wilhelm. Printed text at the bottom of the front. Reverse: dark green 5-centime postmark, handwritten date '4-8-04', correspondence addressed to Mr. Henri Bernard in Stenay, with signature 'R.A.' and note 'Son père adjudant au 18e Chasseurs'.
