Description

Interior view of the cathedral in Sens, showing its central nave with Gothic vaults and pews of faithful. The printed text relates an anecdote about Jean du Cogno, a lawyer and advocate, who challenged the privileges of the clergy in Paris in 1329, under the presidency of Philippe de Valois, and was opposed by Pierre Roger, archbishop of Sens. The reverse indicates 'POSTCARD' and 'Collection P. R. S.' at the bottom right.
