Description

View of La Porte Jarnègue in Tarascon, a fortified gate built in 1646 by the Consuls of the City, replacing an older gate adorned with a shield bearing the royal arms. The printed text mentions its history and an inscription dated 1449. The reverse side has the publisher 'Photo-Modern, Tarascon', with partial handwritten correspondence and an incomplete address.
