View of the Uzès Hotel in Tonnerre, a Renaissance building constructed between 1500 and 1550, with a façade facing a square courtyard and a hexagonal tower. The entrance door is adorned with four mullioned windows and a marble plaque bearing a verse from the Psalms. Reverse: correspondence addressed to Monsieur F. Foucault in Paris, with the sender's signature and mention of the publisher L. Durand, photographer of Tonnerre.
