View of a railway tunnel carved into a barren hill, with tracks leading to the dark entrance. The reverse indicates that this tunnel served as an ammunition depot near Verdun and that it exploded in 1916, causing many casualties. A round postmark 'VERDUN ÉDITIONS' is affixed.
