Description

View of the ruined Fort de Souville, with its remains and barbed wire in the foreground, after World War I battles. The back indicates it was bombed on 15 June 1916 by the German division and attacked on 11 and 12 July 1916 by two enemy divisions. The stamp and postmark of the Ossuaire de Douaumont (Meuse) are visible.
