Postcard showing the Fort of Vaux at Verdun, destroyed and in ruins, with printed text indicating its capture by the Germans on June 8-9, 1916, and its recapture on November 2. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated April 13, 1922, sent from Verdun, with a 10-centime green stamp and a postmark from Châlons-sur-Marne.
