View of the Château de Caen, more specifically the Porte des Champs, a military architecture from the 14th century. The reverse bears a handwritten letter dated October 25, 1987, sent from Caen to Paris, with a 2.20 F stamp and a cancellation from Bayeux. The publisher is mentioned as 'Editions Normandes LE GOUBEY'.
