Description

Black and white view of the Izoard pass at 2360 meters, with La Casse déserte, a rocky alpine landscape bordered by trees. The reverse bears a handwritten inscription: « Best regards — hope to visit soon » signed « Jean Devost » and addressed to « M. Blouquy, Chef de Division, Préfecture de la Meuse » in Metz. Postal stamp of 6 francs cancelled « HAUTES-ALPES 1948 ».
