Postcard showing a Romanesque relief of the Felsenkapelle at Externsteine, in the Teutoburger Wald, dating from the 11th century. The back has handwritten text addressed to Miss Édouard in Paris, with a German postage stamp of 40 pfennigs and a cancellation from Frankfurth. The publisher is mentioned at the bottom of the back.
