Description

Black and white view of a coastal breakwater under stormy weather, with crashing waves and a lamppost in the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame S. Bonnet in Saint-André, with text indicating that it is raining and they cannot wait. Three French stamps (2x 1fr and 1x 5fr) are affixed, with partial cancellation. The publisher is indicated at the bottom: '67. HOULGATE - The Breakwater in Stormy Weather'.
