Black and white aerial view of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Reims, with its two Gothic towers and monumental portal, surrounded by buildings and a few vintage cars. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 14 October 1954, addressed to Madame S. Hagemann in Reims, mentioning the cathedral as 'true joy of France'. The 12 franc stamp is postmarked 'REIMS' and 'MARNE'.
