View of the Gothic cathedral of Chartres with its two spires and rose window, dated around 1956. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Bessac in Laval, with a 12-franc stamp depicting the Pont Valentré and a cancellation from Chartres dated January 25, 1956.
