Description

Postcard featuring four views of Courgis (Yonne): a café-hotel « Loge à Pièt et à Cheval » (A), a priest holding a chalice (B), a drinking trough on Rue de la Fontaine Géry (C), and a street with residents (D). The reverse details local history, including the etymology of the name and mention of Abbé Retif, curate from 1744 to 1800. The photograph is by Christian Brocard, published by Éditions de l'Orangerie in Versailles.
