Description

View of Chenonceau Castle, built in the 15th and 16th centuries, with its arches spanning the Cher and the Marques Tower to the right. The reverse bears a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Haït in Carhaix, mentioning a visit to the castle and vineyards. A 20-centime French postage stamp, canceled in Saint-Lô (Calvados) dated 13 July 1960.
