Watercolor illustration of the entrance to the Palace of Versailles, signed 'Maurice Utrillo' at the bottom right. Reverse: explanatory text indicating that the postcard was printed exclusively for the preservation of the palace, with an engraved postage stamp based on the painting, issued by French Post. Handwritten address to Madame Isabelle G. Germanin in Paris. 18 franc postage stamp and postmark from Versailles dated November 19, 1953.
