Description

View of the Ossuary and Lighthouse of Douaumont, a memorial monument of Verdun. The printed text on the reverse specifies that the ossuary is 150 meters long, contains 48 vaults for 300,000 missing soldiers, and that the lighthouse at the top of the tower (45 meters) shines up to 40 km. The central chapel is mentioned as the work of master G. Desvallières. The publisher is Photo Verdun.
