Description

Postcard illustrating three postal scales used to weigh mail in order to calculate postage rates. The platform scale in the foreground, with a pendulum mechanism, was put into service in Alberta in 1925. The back mentions that these instruments are preserved at the Canadian Museum of Postal History. The handwritten address is directed to the City of Montreal Finance Department, Gosford, Canada.
