Description

Illustration of three postal scales used for weighing letters and calculating postage, preserved at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The balance scale, illustrated in the foreground, was put into service in Alberta in 1925. Bilingual text in English and French. Handwritten address to the municipal office of Montreal. Canadian stamp 39 with a Montreal cancellation dated June 14, 1960.
