Description

Postcard illustrating three historical postal scales from the Canadian Museum of Civilization, used to weigh letters in order to calculate postage rates. The text in English and French explains their function and their use in Canadian post offices from the 19th century to the early 20th century. The reverse side indicates the recipient's address in Willowdale, Ontario, and presents a Canadian 40-cent stamp canceled in Ottawa on October 7, 1991.
