Illustrated postcard depicting the S.S. Canadian, the first steamship of the Royal Mail Line, launched in 1854 and put into service in 1856. Printed text in English and French on the reverse details its history and wreck. The postal stamp bears a Canada 37 stamp and a cancellation from Parksville (BC) dated June 1, 1982. Handwritten address to Toronto, Ontario.
