Illustrated postcard depicting the steamship Empress of Japan, with bilingual text in English and French describing its construction in 1891 and its service between Vancouver and Tokyo until 1926. Reverse: handwritten address to Montreal and sender's signature from Vancouver, with Canada 34 stamp canceled in Halifax in 1925. Printed text mentions delivery speed and the ship's disappearance.
