Description

View of a Spanish-style mission building with a fountain in the foreground, surrounded by palm trees and greenery. The reverse indicates that the mission is located 4 miles east of Oceanside, on U.S. Highway 101, and that it was founded in 1789. The publisher is Western Publ. & Nov. Co. of Los Angeles, and a 2-cent American postage stamp is affixed with an 'AIR MAIL' cancellation dated April 5, 1964. A handwritten French letter is addressed to 'La Jeannette' in Bar-le-Duc, France.
