Black-and-white aerial view of the village of Gérardmer, bordered by a lake and forests in the background. Printed text at the bottom: 'GÉRARDMER — General View Taken from the Goullandes'. Reverse: handwritten message addressed to Jacques Moreau in Rouvey, mentioning a visit to the Beau Rivage Hotel and a canoe ride. A 20-centime postage stamp of the French Republic is affixed, with cancellation of 'LA PERLE' dated 28 July 1935.
