Black and white view of Birmingham's Civic Centre, showing a roundabout with a domed monument and a large administrative building, with cars and pedestrians from the era. On the reverse, a used postcard from 1948, with a Birmingham postmark dated September 17, 1948, an inscription 'SAVE WASTE PAPER', and a handwritten address to Colombe, France. The publisher is Valentine's & Sons Ltd, Dundee and London.
