View of the Strassenbrücke (road) over the Rhine in Mainz, with its two entrance pavilions adorned with domes and its arched bridge. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 1912 addressed to 'My dear Elizabeth', mentioning memories of Palestine and 'children' in Mainz. German postage stamp from 1912, cancellation from Mainz.
