Description

View of the Jardin de la Fontaine in Nîmes, a French-style park created under Louis XV according to the plans of Maréchal, which remained unfinished on the hillside side. Printed text on the front mentions the creation in 1750 and the addition of pines under Louis XVIII. Reverse: handwritten address to Versailles (Seine-et-Oise) with a Versailles postage stamp dated August 9, 1908, and note 'Correspondence on the front is not accepted by all foreign countries'.
