Description

View of Place d'Armes in Calais, showing the City Hall and Museum, with carriages and pedestrians. The reverse indicates that the city hall was restored in 1864 and rebuilt in Flemish style after the war of 1870. Printed text mentions a population of 13,529 inhabitants in 1887 and the restoration of the balcony in 1864. Postmark and cancellation not visible.
