Description

Railway accident involving express train 477 at Villepreux-les-Clayes on 18 June 1910, where the locomotive and tender were overturned after colliding with a local train, causing 14 deaths and many injuries. A team of workers clears the debris while an anxious crowd watches the work. Postmark of 5 centimes at top right.
