Description

Railway accident in Villepreux-les-Clayes on 18 June 1910 where the express train 477, speeding at full steam, collided with an omnibus, causing the destruction of several carriages and the death of 10 people. A team of workers clears the debris while an anxious crowd watches the work. Reverse: editorial text on railway accidents, publisher L'Aurore, printed in Italy, with a 5-centime French postage stamp.
