Description

Stone commemorative monument with a statue of a woman holding a child, erected in 1890 for the children of the Aube who died for the Fatherland in 1870-1871. Inscribed text on the pedestal mentions the subscription by the population. Reverse: handwritten letter to Monsieur J. de Condat in Rognette-Carnisie, with a stamp and postmark from Troyes dated 8-9-1898.
