Description

Illustration of the astronomical clock of Besançon, a modern mechanical piece designed by Cardinal Mathieu and executed by M. Vârité (1838-1860) in Beauvais. Reorganized in 1900 by M. Florian Goudey, it features 72 dials and 122 indications. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Phot. Combier - Macon' and mentions that reproduction is prohibited.
