Description

Postcard showing the tower of the Chartres Cathedral, with printed text describing its history: begun after the fire of 1134, interrupted after the first floor, resumed around 1145, completed in 1313, and adorned with a cross placed in 1891. The reverse is blank, without correspondence or postmark.
