Description

Stone statue of a veiled woman holding an olive branch, in front of a circular wall with the inscription 'POUR CEUX QUI DORMENT AU DES MORTS SANS CROIX' and 'HÉROS INCONNUS'. Reverse: text indicating that the statue, titled 'Resignation', was created by Madame Berthe Girardet in memory of her missing aviator son, with a circular stamp 'OSSUAIRE de DOUAUMONT (Meuse)' and a note of exclusive ownership by the Ossuary Committee.
