Description

Postcard showing the Tower of Caesar in Provins, a 12th-century keep. The printed text relates its history: the English occupied it during the siege of 1432, installing a defensive terrace and dungeons for political prisoners, as well as a large bell weighing 3800 kilograms. The back indicates the area reserved for correspondence and features a 0.10 franc stamp.
