Description

Black and white view of the Montségur castle, a fortress perched at 1207 m altitude, overlooking the lands of Esclarmonde de Foix. The reverse indicates that it was the site of the Albigensian War and that the Cathars were burned there in 1244. Signed by Larrey at the bottom right and printed by Éditions d'Art Larrey, rue Saint-Laurens in Toulouse.
