Description

Postcard illustrating Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight, with sailing boats in competition, a prestige yacht, bronze cannons and spectators on the quay. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 2 September 1999, sent from the Isle of Wight to Guingamp, France, and mentions the presence of the Royal Yacht Squadron. The stamp is cancelled with 'SALMON' and dated 2-9-1999.
