Description

Postcard illustrating three postal balances used to weigh letters in order to calculate postage, preserved at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The text in English and French explains that the balance in the foreground, with a platform, uses a pendulum mechanism and was put into service in Alberta in 1925. The handwritten address at the top left indicates the sender from Saint-Timothée, Québec, and the recipient in the City of Montreal.
