Description

Postcard illustrating three postal scales used to weigh packages to calculate the postage. The scale in the foreground, with a platform, uses a pendulum mechanism and was put into service in Alberta in 1925. The back mentions that these scales are preserved at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The handwritten address is intended for the Finance Department of the City of Montreal.
