Description

Postcard illustrating the steamer Bonnington, launched in 1911 by the Arrow, Kootenay and Okanagan Lakes company for postal service, then transferred to the CPR in 1917 and operating until 1942 before being dismantled. The reverse details its history in French and English, with a mention of its transfer to the government of British Columbia in 1942. The handwritten address is intended for Québec Loisirs Inc. in Ville St-Laurent, P.Q. The Halifax cancellation of April 10, 1971, is visible.
