Description

Postcard illustrating the ship "Empress of Japan", built in 1891 for the Halifax-Hong Kong route, with bilingual text in English and French. The reverse shows a handwritten address in Kingston, Ontario, and a Canada 1 stamp with a duck, accompanied by a Canada 36 stamp depicting a ship. The cancellation "STRATFORD ON" is visible.
