Description

View of the ruins of Tavannes Fort after a German bombardment on May 6, 1916, where a single 420 mm shell caused serious damage by blowing up an arch. The reverse indicates exclusive ownership by the Ossuaire Committee and bears a circular postmark from the Ossuaire de Douaumont (Meuse).
