Description

View of the memorial ossuary and lighthouse of Douaumont, built in 1919 to commemorate soldiers who died in battle. The reverse indicates that it was funded by subscriptions and that donations could be sent to the Treasurer in Nancy or to the Chaplain in Verdun (Meuse). A circular postmark 'OSSUAIRE de DOUAUMONT (Meuse)' is stamped at the bottom left.
